EquiPotential relies on the generosity and ongoing commitment of our volunteers, sponsors, funders and wider community to continue providing our programmes.

Every year, we invite individuals, families and businesses to sponsor one of our incredible therapeutic riding horses for a 12-month period. Sponsorship helps cover the ongoing costs of caring for our horses and ensures they receive the high standard of care, training and support they need to continue their important work.

EquiPotential supports more than 165 riders each week, helping people living with disability to develop, increase and maintain their abilities through therapeutic horse riding and horse care.

​

Our horses are at the heart of this work. They are our partners in the therapeutic process, building relationships with riders and helping create opportunities for connection, confidence, independence and achievement.

Together, our horses provide up to 4,000 rides each year, supporting people living with disability, learning disabilities, mental health challenges and other barriers to wellbeing and participation.

Caring for Our Horses

There are many ongoing costs involved in keeping our therapeutic horses healthy, happy and ready for their work, including:

• Feed and hay

• Dental care

• Farrier and shoeing costs

• Veterinary care

• Drenching and preventative health care

• Training and ongoing education

• Equipment and other day-to-day care

The current annual cost of caring for one of our horses is approximately $3,000.

A full horse sponsorship can be paid in one annual payment or spread across four quarterly payments. We also offer syndicate sponsorship opportunities, allowing several individuals or businesses to share the sponsorship of a horse.

Your support directly contributes to the wellbeing of our equine partners and helps ensure they can continue doing what they do best — making a difference in the lives of our riders.
